How to post to communities:

There are three options:

1)The easiest way to do this:

1. Log in.
2. Go to the community's "User info" page.
3. Click on the little pencil button on top of the page, right under where it says "Community information".
4. This brings you to a page ready set up for posting to the community.
5. Type and post entry.

2)You can also:

1. Log in
2. Go to your "update journal" page from the top menu.
3. Scroll down and click on the "more options" link near the bottom of the page.
4. You are now on a posting page with several drop down menus.
5. Change the active journal from "default" (your personal journal) to the community you wish to post to. All your communities are listed in the drop down menu.
6. Type and post entry.

Most livejournal clients have the same options as listed above: Drop down menus to select which journal you're posting to.

Lj-cut:

1. Place this tag where you wish to start hiding your text: <lj-cut>

Everything written before this tag will show on the front page of your -or the community's- journal

2. Type or paste the rest of your text

3. Place this tag: </lj-cut> where you want the hiding to end.

Everything written after this tag will show on the front page of your -or the community's- journal

4. By default the text on the cut-link will say: "Read more", if you want to change this, use this tag:

<lj-cut text="This is what I want it to say!">

instead of <lj-cut>.
